tv cable replacement

I have replaced one on my 1990 suburban, is it the same principal ? Sometimes my truck (03 2500 auto) will not shift out of gear unless I get in it. I feels like the cable is hanging up, I can put it in neutral and step on the pedal and it hinda feels like it breaks it loose. then shifts o.k. throttle petal feels like it has a raw spot in the cable sleeve causing it to hang up sometimes.

Have you pulled the black cover of of the TPS unit where the TV cable hooks up? Try looking under there and see if it's binding up ....

TV Cable?

I was going to suggest RG-6 until I read the post and realized the TV cable wasn't in the house, but on a vehicle. Maybe I'll keep track of this thread and learn what the heck a TV cable is. I can't seem to figure it out. I know, get a college degree and still dumb as a post!
