Turbo issue possibly?
Hey guys. Just recently had some issues with my 06 Dodge. Number 4 injector Ohm'd out 3.5. All others read .02 so they were good. One thing I have noticed is when I pull my small fifth wheel and mainly of hills or grades pushing the truck hard, I can hear a sound from the turbo that the only way I can explain would be a Va Va Va Va Va sound in A higher pitched volume. The truck being basically stock except for an HTT intercooler, and MBRP dual exhaust, S&B intake, BD Horn, BD exhaust manifold, and Smarty set on level 1 with a Quadzilla boost fooler. The truck will also do it without pulling anything but only when the hammer is down. Boost gets to about 37 or 38 psi. This is on a 2006 48RE that is stock tranny and 4.11 gears. Also when the smarty is off and truck is restored to stock, I feel like the truck has plenty of power empty and really moves along but when I hook up my 3500 pound boat or 5900 pound camper The truck is an absolute dog until I put the smarty on level one and even at just level one it will scream up the seven or 8% grades here in Montana at 9000 feet of elevation. Is it my tranny or my turbo that is lacking? I would hate to tow without the smarty. Just doesn't seem right. Fuel mileage is still about the same and the truck never smokes unless it's on a high Smarty level and it's black. So sorry for being such a long post, and to get back to the point, does that turbo sound right. Thanks!
