If you are having no issues with your truck, don't do the reflash IMHO

GullyDog,

First off you need a signature so everyone can at least have some sort of clue what your talking about when discussing an issue with your truck and howit may relate to us.

Secondly, you need to eloborate on what the TSB is about for the same reason.

This is a well known TSB. It applies to 06 vehicles with hard start problems. This is not the same one that was for earlier years with hard start/white smoke.

An added benefit of this TSB is it changes the shift points of the 48RE and provides charging enhancements. Many have also reported improved mileage due to the shift changes.

I had it done 2 weeks ago. I had just taken a 800 mile one day trip and had gotten about 17.5 mpg empty. Memorial weekend, I took a 700 mile trip towing a 3000# trailer. The second trip included 2 additional passes than the first. The first was also 99% intersate highway. My mileage on the 2nd trip was just over 17mpg.

IMHO, it was worth it.

Carl
