Truck surges on when accelerating even when OFF fuel pedal

Have you ever noticed or is it just my truck that when you accelerate a tad hard sometimes the truck keeps motoring along and takes a while it seems for the rail to bleed off´.......its happened since i got the truck stock. you give some fuel and let off because of red light or stop sign but truck keeps going and you hold the brake and its almost like you are doing a brake torque.....scary sometimes when it catches you offguard

8 months ago i replaced FCA regulator on cp3 pump and it did it before and after that

I have something similar but it only lasts a second or two and only when under very light throttle.

I'm guessing its either the APPS or the edge J/A.

Had that problem today. Got stuck in a snowdrift and was trying to go back and forth but everytime i let off it just kept spinning. Really unhandy when your trying to keep from spinning. Makes it kind of hard to drive on ice when you want to let of throttle and it just keeps going. Wonder if there is an adjustment in the pedal or if some sensor is not working right. Kind of makes you wish for simpler days when there was a throttle cable and when you let off it did to.

its not my edge juice because it did it before i put edge on. its only when u press throttle a certain amount and back off quickly.

Mines always done that same thing. I was thinking it had to do with the cummins inline 6 taking a second to wind down. Lots of rotating mass/weight still having enough torque to push the truck for a second when quickly letting off the throttle.

Its not all that but its deffinetly got something to do with the third gen dodges because my second gen never did it. It was the exact opposite it would spool down so quick it would lock up on ice from the torque slowing it down.

No, your not the only one. It is just one of those things with the high pressure common rail systems. It takes a second or two to blead down all the pressure in the rail. This is even more noticeable with a modified truck with a box or programmer on it.
