Truck surges foward when I come to a stop...any clue?
I have a 2003 2500 CTD SO with Predator S4 box (84,000 miles).
I unplugged the box and the problem persists.
Here is the problem. This morning out of nowhere, when I come to a stop, the rpm's fall a tad bit to 500 and then pick back up like I am giving it fuel. Almost feels like I am brake torqueing the truck. When I let off the brake pedal, the truck leaps foward and takes off.
Anyone have any clue what is causing this? My foot is tired of holding this thing at a complete stop.
My guess is maybe the torque convertor is screwed up? Just a guess though...
Thanks In Advance

I had a 04 in the shop for kind of the same reason, at idle would go up and down when stopped, or when driving it would surge forward like you would be pressing on the gas pedal. What we found after trouble shooting was the lift pump was going bad. If you can put a fuel gauge on and see if the fuel pressure is going crazy.
