Transmission Shudder
Automatic transmission "shudders" when shifting from 3rd to overdrive. I have been told by DC that it is caused from excess pressure in the turbo that is venting back into the airbox. However, it shudders all the time regardless if I am towing or not.

I think that fella at DC you talked to better stay away from a urinalysis test for the next month or so. Try another dealer. |
Re:Transmission Shudder
That's it, I have been wondering what caused that for years [laugh]. Really, it is the torque converter slipping, real common problem. I have seen a cure as simple as fluid and filter change (use the Penzoil Multi-Vehicle ATF). Sometimes it takes a new Torque Converter. This is not always the problem, but I have seen this condition on 10-15 trucks and it was tc slippage on all of these.

Yep, find another dealer. That guy would also tell you that the standard motor doesn't have a turbo. LMAO
