Transmission reprogram
 

I have a '04 CDT with the auto transmission. The tow/haul when engaged, takes out the overdrive. The '05 my friend has changes the shift points. Does anyone know if the '04s can be reprogramed to act like the '05s? Could that be a warrenty item?

What do you mean by changing the shift points? I know my 05 dosen't allow me to lock out overdrive when I push the tow/haul button.

No it can't be reprogram to shift/not lock out O/D lke a 05.

On an 05 it changes the shift points but allows for 4th gear. I wish my 04 would do that. It would be nice to run 4th in tow/haul. I like the shift points better.

Heres an idea. run your tow/haul until you get into 3rd, when your ready to set the cruise click of the tow haul and go into over drive. IF the truck starts hunting for gears ( ive never had this problem but you could tow heavier than i do) Click the Tow/ haul back on.

i dont know why you guys what this because ive got it and hate it when towing very heavy
