I have a 2004.5 dodge dually auto. . I went to the mountain over the weekend. Had no problem going up, but on the way back I smelt transmission fluid and lost speed. The rpm went to over 2000 just to get started, and stay over 2500 rpm while. I was pulling a 33ft 5th wheel. Took to my dealer, He said he pulled the pan and sall nothing. Then like always he said they adjusted the bands. My question is what happen, is their bands in the trans,I was told no.
