hey guy's just got my truck back from the dealer today, a snap ring in my tranny broke and grenaded the rest of it, warranty covered it and i got it back today. today i picked it up but all the techs had left , all that was around was a service advisor, anyhoo when i get in it, start it , then select drive or reverse, for a few seconds i get this annoying rattle!!!! around the pass side sounds similar to a vacum pump running for 3-4 seconds?? it was dark when i got home so i couldn't poke around to see. any ideas what to look for would be appreceated , i will try to do a vid with sound and post , i would like to try to quick fix and save a additional trip to the dealer. thanks for reading and your reply's.

 

Sounds like a cooler line or something they moved when the trans was replaced rattling against the body or each other.

 

dr>> it was exactly something like that, the trans dip tube was against the air cond lines running into the heater box , and while the engine was still cold and running a bit rough , when i put it in gear it would rattle like crazy!! a little pull to the left and all is good!!!!!!!!
