Buying new injectors What is the limit for Stock 305 Cummins
Buying new Injectors.
(1) What is the injector limit in HP for a stock 305 Cummins ?
(2) Also who should I get them from ?
I don't really want to get into Bigger Turbo's or anything like that but would like to go bigger than Stock Injectors. Down the road I will get a Smarty Programmer but for now I have a Couple injectors going bad on me and I want to go ahead and replace all six injectors at one time. Give me some Ideas on who to get them from and what size i could go to in HP ratings.
Thanks ya'll

The stock turbo is what limits you to a great degree and the HE341 you have is smaller than the HE351 on the 04.5 and up trucks. In other words-- it won't support much more than stock. If you get a smarty, programming on the upper limits will max out the turbo.
with the stock turbo... and what appears to be an unmodded transmission, I really couldn't recommend over 50hp injectors.
Who to get them from is a personal choice with a number of reputable folks. F1 and DDP are at the top of my list.

Thanks I didn't think I could go to much on HP on the injectors. I read somewhere I saw 60 hp inj. and 90hp were ok but I thought 90 hp would be to much for my stock truck. What about the 60 hp injectors from Thoroughbred?

You can put as big of an injector on your truck as you want honestly. If the CP3 is stock with stock tuning they will only flow what the CP3 allows. I would go with 30% over stock Exergy Injectors. Best quality on the market but not the cheapest.

I put 60hp injectors in mine with stock turbo and smarty jr and they were too much. The truck just didn't like them. They ran good and had plenty of power but if the truck was idling you did not want to be near it. The smell would burn your eyes. They also smoked a lot also under normal driving. I took the 60's out and put F1's mileage injectors in which are supposed to be around 20hp and all is good again. No idle smell and not near as smokey. Hope this helps.

I put in new 60hp Bosch injectors and lost 5-8mpgs, modded the air box and put in an AFE higher flowing filter and gained back 3mpgs, still dont have filtration or a programmer, It sounded like it has a sputter at the top end when pushed hard pulling out on to the hwy, its only for a second but I can hear it and so just dont put my foot into it as much now, but worrys me that somethings not right, shop said I need a programmer and it will fix it

if i needed set again for my 03 I'd still pick stock for fuel economy.
i have herd stories of fuel economy dropping with bigger injectors. my 99 lost 2-3 MPG with bigger injectors.
my advice is go for power with a box of some sort. then if you dont need the extra power just turn it off and still get 20 MPG. you dont have that option with injector change.

Had a shop install my New bosch 60's, wasnt the direction I want to go in after doing more research, lost 5-8 mpgs then modded my air and got 3-4 mpgs back,so now im installing a cat 2 micron filter and getting a smarty s06 pod, gauges and hope I'm happy with it, cause there ain't no more $$$. Hope to get back those last mpg's , later will get the upgraded trans an turbo ladder bars

I'm with Soulezoo and Dr. Dizzle, 50's max, and then you will want to do a boost fooler and adjustable boost elbow (along with gauges) to get some more and and bring the EGT's back down.
