So whats the final word on Bilsteins?

I have searched these forums up and down and it seems like every other post say no, they dont make them for the 05, yes they do make them, then one gives one part number and then another gives another part number, then you search their site and they only offer them for the 2500 and not the 3500. My brain is fried and I know the kid at the parts store isnt going to understand what I am asking him so here goes.

What is the part number for the Bilsteins that fit the front of my 2005 Ram 3500 4X4 dually? I want the 5100 series if possible! Thanks for the replys ahead of time!!!

Which DR shocks are you using? I didn't know DR made shocks that will work on Dodge trucks? I had their coilovers on my Tundra and loved them.

The final word is, I got tired of Bilstein's poor customer service, lack of response, weak dealer service and bought Rancho 9000's

I refuse to do business with a company who cannot/will not support their dealers!!

I can adjust my Ranchos to suit my needs!! I cannot beat that or their customer service!!

Doetsch Tech shocks are my choice. Lifetime warranty, reasonably priced, and made in the U.S.A. Never, ever had a problem with a Doetsch Tech shock, and I've used them for years on many different vehicles.

I had Rancho 9000s front and rear but switched to Bilsteins on the front about a year ago and I like them. They are more velocity sensitive and ride well while not being too harsh or bottoming excessively. The Ranchos are the best choice for the rear because you can adjust them for the load you're carrying. Empty set on 1 and loaded set on 5. Very good for ride quality and load control. Both brands are WAY better than the stock setup!

I don't want to sound harsh or rude, but if you want the part # call Bilsteins. That is what I did when I bought mine. I had two out of five places actually quote me the wrong part number for the back shocks. Get the info from the horses mouth so to speak.

I have searched their site and called them and they only list for the 2500 dodge. They dont know if they are the same, but I know that there are guys on here running them on there 3500's so I was hoping they would speak up!!

Maybe I missed it, so I will look again. Thanks guys!

DmaxEter,

It just dawned on me. Give Sean Lorenz at Lorenz Industries a call or send him an email. He has 5100's for our truck. He sells them for about $140 for the pair.

I've got a set sitting in the tool room, waiting to be installed. I'm hoping they help.
