scary? or not?

so i took the truck out this morning, and stepped down on the gas, felt it stumble a bit and look backed and saw billowing white smoke. did again, saw some more white smoke, then a third time and everything smoothed out and ran normal.

I just installed the flux 1's so is that normal break in stuff? I am gonna try adjusting the valves today, or least make sure they are within spec.

Could be or may be nothing. If it does it again I would suspect an issue. You may of had some oil run into the cylinders during install. I am assuming it sat around for serveral days with the injectors sent off. Was this the first time you drove the truck after the install? Hopefully it was and you cleaned out the cylinders and such.

it was sitting for a week while the injectors were away. after the install we test drove it, and then I had to drive it home (a 5 hour drive) everything was fine. I have driven it several times since this morning and I have not seen any white smoke, and no misses. I am going to adjust the valves tomorrow just to get everything off my list of worries.

It should only be normal to smoke right after an injector install. I wonder if one of them is leaking while it sat. How cold is it where you are?

if one of them was leaking while it sat overnight, that would mean that Don M didnt fix them. so lets hope thats not the problem. itwas about 25 degrees when I took it for a spin yesterday. its been sitting for quite some time now, so I will go test it again and see if it happens.

I tested it again this morning, and all was well. I will chalk the smoke up to a fluke and hope I never see it again. truck drives perfectly, LOTS of power. love every second of it.
