?'s about XRF Ball Joints.

So Im at 85k on my truck and going on my 3rd set of ball joints... I have a few questions for those that have installed the XRF's. I have heard they are a SOB to install due to them being fairly oversized is this true? Or do they press in much like the stockers do? I know Carli is the cream of the crop for balljoints but I dont/cant spend 1,100 on ball joints. Or wait 3 weeks for them to get more due to them being on back order. So before I order these XRF's I'd like to know if they are overly tight to install and if I should just skip them and go for the dynatracs.

I have Dynatrac and put them in when I added the hubs. If you call them ask for Dan

I also would recommend the Dynatrac ball joints. I know I also read about issues installing the XRF BJ's due to size. I waited almost 2 years for the Carli lowers to be blown off by carli and told "don't worry they will be here in the next couple of days" I have multiple e-mails from Carli telling me just wait they will be here. BS!!

I went with Dynatrac and couldnt be happier!!! Wish i'd done it 2 years ago would have made life alot simpler and saved alot of money.

Carli's are $800 upper and lowers. He's still filling backorders do to production problems. Reportedly has it down now. I've held them in my hand and they are stout units.

I had my mechanic install the XFRs. He said they were a tight fit but they are a good joint. His words... To be honest, my truck steers and handles bumps better than when it was new. I actually enjoy driving it now. You'll probably get that from the Carlis though. Question is, do you want to spend the cash.

cheers

Another vote for Dynatrac joints.

I've got a full set after I was a guinea pig for the first run of Carli ball joints.

XRF's here! Truck is better than it was new. Tight fit makes me feel good. Throw them in the freezer for and hour or so like the little piece of paper says that came with the ball joints. Easy going in then. Truck feels great.
