I have a weird situation occuring. The trucks back up lights stay on while turned off. The truck does not have the stock lights due to the flat bed and has LEDs therefore it can stay on overnight and not drain the battery but I would like to get it fixed. I even have a back up camera that goes on with the reverse light / back up light power therefore I am pretty sure the truck simply thinks it is in reverse.

Any help would be appreciated.

May not apply to you, but I added backup lights and used a relay for the power feed, triggered off the trailer plug. The relay failed (I think water got in and seized the contacts closed) and the lights would stay on even with the key off (because of the direct feed from the battery).

 

Good point, thanks - I will try to see if the LEDs have a relay, try trouble shooting.
