is it really LSD?

filled up today, at a krogers in dayton, and the pump says its LSD. my truck feels like it runs a little better too. what are the odds that it really is lsd, and not ulsd being mixed in with it? and how would i find that out?

I'm still getting the LSD at the local Flying J Truck stop. You very well could be still getting it too.

I never paid attention to the color of LSD, but the ULSD is kind of a green color. We have had the ULSD here since fall. It could be that you still have the LSD, but one would think that by now the ULSD is getting everywhere, especially the big truck stops. The refining industry has got to be getting geared for it everywhere, and I would not think that they would be making both? We did have the ULSD about 2-3 weeks or so before they changed the lables on the pumps. Maybe we were getting a blend of the old stuff in the tanks and the new stuff, after the 3 weeks they must have figured the blend was more ULSD in percentage? I never saw them clean out the tanks, but our local station had fairly new tanks, they had replaced the old ones about a year before with bigger ones.

Send in a fuel sample for lab testing. The only way to tell.

It's supposed to be ULSD at the pumps by now. They started blending ULSD into their tanks some time ago so that the product would meet specs by January 1st in most cases. But the above quote is truely the only way you would know for sure.

Pick up some Stanadyne Performance Formula and add it to your fuel tank at each fill-up. It has all the good stuff in there to address any lubricity problems associated with ULSD. It is also an anti-gel and it improves the cetane. No, I'm not a salesman, just beleive in this product.

There is still LSD in N.E. Texas. You can tell the difference by its look. One is greenish and kinda cloudy, as they convert to ULSD it loses the cloudy look. I have noticed that there are fewer and fewer stations with LSD.
I Wonder how many times "BIG BROTHER" has its goons check this site since there are some many posts with the letters L-S-D together... hahahaha.
