Re: shudder ?
Re: shudder ?
Just to follow up on the shuddering, my local dealer has told me that there is a TSB on this problem it calls for new u-joints and a spacer in the center, this is going to be done Friday I will update this forum on Monday when I get back in town..
Now one question I do have is on the 03 HO when I open the fuel valve it will on purge the filter with the key on...Not runing just on...This will not drain the canister unless you work the switch back and forth, The dealer said that the new fuel systems are only set to purge the water off, not drain the canister..
Can someone advise on this? Thanks Larry

You should not be opening the fuel valvewith the key on anyway because the fuel pump is on and yes you will pump fuel onto the ground. You should only open the valve with the key off long enough to get some fuel running out, this tells you that all of the water is out of the water separator
I've had to leave the key on to drain a little out of the fuel bowl when purging it. Sometimes it flows fine with the key off and sometimes it doesn't. If you leave the key on and the valve open, yes you can drain the fuel tank. If the key is off, you risk draining the fuel bowl only (if it drains for you that is).
BTW, its never failed to drain completely when the filter is out of it.
