questions about fuel system

I have heard about earlier 24 valve diesel having problems with lift pumps or injection pumps going bad near or @ 100k. I was wondering if they might have fixed the problem or changed to a different fuel system on the new trucks. Did lnow if anyone new but I figure it is worth a shot. thanks -Anthony

Re:questions about fuel system

I asked that question when I picked up my truck three weeks ago. I was told that there is now a electric pump in the fuel tank.
You can confirm this my looking in the owners manual under starting with air in the system after a fuel filter change. It refers to a electric pump you can hear if you turn the key to run but not start. I know that on my Taurus if I do that I can hear the pump run until it pressures up and quits.

I have not tried it yet on the RAM. Been to busy worken it
