Power Service 911 didn't help
 
I used a whole half gallon saturday at fillup. It was -18 this morning and my fuel pressure was zero! Used a 1500w heater all day along my fuel lines and now she starts but pressure is bouncing from 3 to 5lbs and my regulator is set at 10 and always runs spot on... Uggg. **** this arctic weather... Missed work today but cannot tomorrow. She starts but I worry I'm gonna get stranded.
Just venting a little... [verymad]

You don't use Power Service 911 unless its already gelled up and you need to get it running. Pouring the 911 into the tank will not prevent fuel gelling. Its not considered a fuel treatment! Use their white bottle winter formula ever tank to prevent gelling and keep a bottle of 911 under your seat in case you have a problem. Then you can pour some into your filter housing and some in the tank.


Fuel line routing and so forth can also give you problems. The stock setup on these trucks seem to be good so if you got extra plumbing for other things that could also be giving you fits.

I use white bottle all the time! Just did the 911 as a pre emptive strike. Plus truck plugged in. Plus 1500w heater blowing on oil pan.
Made it to work this morning -13 but pressure would drop to zero.

Don't know why you are having problems with gelling if it's only -15°. If you use treatment regularly in every tank it should be good for -30° or 40° at least. I routinely start mine without plugging it in at -30° with no issues. I treat most tanks but not all. Our fuel is probably treated for a colder gel point than yours but if you treat your own fuel it shouldn't gel. Maybe you have other problems, maybe a dirty fuel filter?

Don't put the 911 in the truck unless you are down and it wont start. Treat it with the white bottle.

I'm thinking my issue is my fuel routing. Pump is on frame rail pushes fuel up into toolbox where it goes thru a Baldwin water sep then a Cat 1r-0749 then back down and to stock fuel filter. I hate to change setup but may have to.

If your truck sits out exposed to windchill conditions,it can cause problems pretty quick. Given that the fuel lines have been modified, there is a good chance that you are correct about re-routing the filtration system. Perhaps, you could insulate the fuel filtration system and lines.
