Oil Leak

I noticed engine oil coming from a tube that comes down from my engine on the right side of my oil pan. Its dripping onto the axle. Im guesing its a vent tube but should it be leaking? Its not alot of oil, none getting on the ground just axle. just wondering why it would leak? I checked oil level and its right on the correct spot on dip stick. Any ideas?

The fuel filter canister drain tube and the crankcase vent tube are on the driver side of the engine. The fuel filter tube is clear. If it is leaking, the petcock(yellow lever) may have gone bad or is not closed all the way. If the vent tube is leaking oil, your truck may have been over filled with oil or you may have a leaking injector that is adding fuel to your crankcase. Check your oil level.

My crankcase vent tube drips quite a bit. It has since day 1. It's caused me to keep a close eye on the dipstick. I check the oil level every day and it has stayed in the middle of the safe zone. It bothers me a little, but I'm not worried by it.

I noticed your other post about changing oil brands. Some times changing brands will cause this. Don't know the exact reasons but it is something I have experienced and read about others having too. I wouldn't be too concerned, just keep checking the oil level to make sure you don't have a leaking injector which would cause the level to rise and then spew out the breather tube.

Thanks for the info guys. It sure could be the differnt oil cause I didnt see the oil on the axle when i change it. I will keep an eye on my oil level. The truck is running great. what are some things to look for or signs an injector is going bad?
