oil?

Is rotella t and delvac synthetic, I am getting ready to change my oil, and the bottle syas multigrade?????? Whats that mean, I dont want to use synthetic because I only have 4000 miles.

Rotella T (in the white jugs) is non synthetic. I run 15w40 year round. Good luck.

IMHO your first oil change should have been around 2K miles or less, but I come from the old school. I'm sure you didn't hurt anything, but I think the first oil change should be quicker than what DC recommends.

Multigrade just means that the oil flows like a straight 15 weight oil when cold, and like a straight 40 weight when hot. That's why it's called 15W-40. Rotella T synthetic comes in a blue jug and costs around $13. Delvac 1 synthetic is hard to find and costs around $25 a gallon.

I did not see one diesel on your list!

Not one of the cars has even close to the compression ratio that our diesels have. Be careful, those guys that right manuals have lots of training.

Mobil Delvac 1300 Super in the black 1 gallon jug is a conventional petroleum based HD motor oil. Mobil Delvac 1 in the gray 1 gallon jug is the full synthetic HD motor oil.
