Question Mobil 1 gear lube

Just finished changing my diff. lube and wanted to get some feed back on the fluid I put in. I purchased some Mobil 1 75-90 full syn. bottle said it exceed the GL-5 requirements. Just wondering if any one is running this fluid and their experence with it.

I've been using it for years.

Readily available, good quality, relatively cheap for synthetic, meets all the specs.

No complaints here.

Out of curiosity, what does the Mobil 1 sell for per quart ? I paid $7.18 per quart including sales tax for the Valvoline 75W90 GL5 Full Synthetic.

$8.18, 8.76+tax per quart at Advanced Discount Auto Parts as of 7/31/04 when I bought it (Mobil 1 75w90 full synthetic. This stuff really smells when your not used to changing it. I'm fairly new to all this.

I paid $6.40 per quart at Auto Zone. All you need is 4 qts. and that fills it to about 1/4" from the fill plug. Cost me 32.00 including tax. the dealer wanted $129.00 dollars to change.

Ramex I would not use it in the six speed.
I use mobil 1 75-90 in both Diffs and Quaker State Synchromesh trans fluid in the six speed ( I meet the DC Spec and says so on the bottle.
