Max HP

I am getting ready to tow mk 14K fiver to SC.What rpm will I get max HP and tourqe.I have a six speed with a 373 gear.I seen 11-1200 on my pyro already just getting this thing up to speed on fairly flat land.I can't wait to see what I get dragging it up the WV turnpike.I have a BHAF, elimnator pipe from Geno's ,and a muffler elimnation pipe.Is this hurting my HP with an other wise stock engine or not.

Why in God's name did you buy a turbo eliminator pipe? That kind of defeats the purpose of a "Turbo Diesel" :eyecrazy" No wonder your EGT's are so high....

Maybe I mis spoke that.It replaces the black plastic tubing in the air intake with the restrictor vanes.

from my understanding, torque is the same, maximum value from 1600 rpm to 3000 rpm. The hp, on the other hand, increases steadily all the way to 3000 rpm. When the motor has a load on it, you should keep it above the max torqe rpm (1600). Also, I think fuel ecomony will be better if you keep the rpm below 2200 while cruising.

The "sweet spot" of the new CRD 5.9 is right in the 1900 - 2100 range. That is where I try to keep my RPMs
