looked & looked, how to refill diff/transfer fluid

Morning all, I am not that mecheanically inclined, so don't laugh at me. I did a lot of searches on changing fluids and learned a lot. I understand how to get the fluid out on the rear diff and transfer case, but where do you put it back in? do I need one of those hand pumps? or is there a spout on the top? I have not yet crawled around under there to look, but I didn't drive it to work today and am going to go buy the supplies and wanted to make sure I didn't need anything else to complete the job.

So where do you refill the fluid at? sorry I am idiot plz help, thx in advance

on the rear diff, you need a 3/8" ratchet and a short extension. There is a plug on the rear cover that will accept the 3/8" square drive.

There is the same thing on the back side of the transfer case.

once you remove the pipe plug on the diffs, you can use a cheap pump from the auto parts store, the kind that goes onto the bottle, manual not electric,
or you can put a hose of the spout that comes with the bottle, turn upside down, give a gentle squeeze and wait a long time for that thick gear lube to slowly come out. me, I recommend buying the pump. I think I paid about $20 for mine.

you're not an idiot, there are no stupid questions. at least you bothered to ask.
good luck

Thanks I appreciate the help, I just can't see spending the $$ the dealer wants for the service with something that seems relatively simple. thanks again, Cheers

I purchased one of those devices that screws onto the oil bottle and has a small section of hose on the end. Also has a built in on/off valve. Cheap and no spills.
