Fuses are all ok. I am still concerned about the batteries even though they say they are both OK. They are the originals.

Now back to the CP3. Said there is only 100psi at the rail. Apparently the 633 code issue is resolved. I think all my winter tire money is going to get used up with this.

Do they have a Scan tool?

When you try starting the truck does the RPM gauge move when cranking?

Have them check all your connections from the rail sensor, FCA, ECM etc. Or check them yourself. If they have a DRB3 scan tool have them diagnose the ECM.

I would have had the truck towed from there to a Dodge Dealership.

Coulda, shoulda, woulda... If I had it to do over it would have went to the dealer. Good news is that it did start and run fine with a loaner CP3. New reman one will be here tomorrow.

Please let us know, this kind of sounds like a possible pressure limiter that was stuck open- on the common rail- i have seen it before on heavy equipment, with the same motor. My questions is that while cranking did they apply full fuel? And did they use the proper scan tool for troubleshooting? Couldn't they monitor common rail command and measured pressure? These things a customer well never know. Hope everything goes well for you.

Good to hear your problem got fixed. This is why it is so important for shops to have the proper equipement for fault diagnosing.

Did they change the FCA out????

When they first tested your rail pressure and said you had pressure how did they determine this and how much pressure did you have. Then when they tested it and found only 100psi how did they determine this? I am just curious.

How Dodge has these trucks you either buy their expensive scan tools and all their updates or you become a parts replacer till problem is found. Unfortunately Dodge has the equipment and they still choose for the most part to be parts chasers.

Again good to hear you foudn your problem.
Cheers

I am curious if the issue was resolved, mostly because my truck is there as we speak. They did call earlier saying my injector install is going well and is on schedule. Pricing was good considering the dodge garage charged me $1200 to do one when it got stuck open, and performance diesel is doing the rest for $2400 using brand new bosch injectors.
