Knock due to lack of oil need fix asap!!
My truck started going through a lot of oil when i was on the highway one day, i ' m running a aurora 3000, ats intake manifold, aftermarket headers, and cold air. it is a 2005 2500 so it has a 5.9 24v. i noticed a knock and immediately pulled over due to my engine knocking. i checked and i saw i had no oil. my truck has 167k on it when this happened. i first thought that this was due to maybe spinning a bearing but my engine is not shaking the knock is not loud and i have no check engine lights or anything. injectors are good no cracks or leaks, when i pulled off the valve cover i cranked it on to see and abnormalities and i noticed that the furthest back cylinder not sure if that is 1 or 6..... spits up oil and i see a little bit of white smoke coming out of it, all others are fine. with this i information i was wondering is it possible to have a valve be stuck due to a lack of lubrication. and before i pull off the head because i have a really busy schedule atm what possible damages this could be,and also what to look for when i pull of the head as well as cost of replacing anything. my truck aslo has no leaks that the oil could have just leaked out, i've also been driving a lot, and even towed another car 1000 miles, so i figured it was normal oil consumption. plus i drive like an *** soo. PLEASE HELP thank you
