Interviewing a transmission builder
Interviewing a transmission builder
I have never had much luck when it comes to getting a transmission rebuild. I would like some advise please.
I have just over 125K on my stock transmission about 30K of that towing around 12,500#. I have had the fluid exchanged regularly about every 30K. My last pull took me up a steep long grade tranny got up in the 240* range and has been slipping if I get on it at all.
I am looking for a reputable rebuilder in SoCal preferably in Ventura County. I need to know what kind of questions to ask to see if they a the right builder.
I am looking to firm up the shifting from stock be able to tow and get on it once in a while and possible handle a few more ponies. Can anyone give me suggestions on parts required for a build to do this.
