Please tell me how many miles you got out of an OEM alternator ??

164,000 so far and still going strong.....

 

152K and no hickups... knock on wood.

 

Im sure somebody has had a failure, but I sure don't recall reading about it here. Im curious too.

Mine is a 2nd gen so not sure if the same alternator but 250k and still going.

 

I replaced mine at 65K-not because it was necessarily going bad, but both my batteries were leaking acid out into the trays (yikes!) and I figured I may as well replace the alternator and the serp belt at the same time.

 

"How many miles(Licks) before alternator goes bad..." 1....2...CRUNCH! 3!
Like most things... it's a Crap Shoot. Mines at 215,000+ and still going strong... Guess I should go to Vegas!

 

my brother has 500,000 on his 91 and still stock alternator

 

I've got 115k on the original altenator and batteries, now as far the tranny and injectors thats another story.

 

My 01 went at 165k,185 on stock one on 05.
