how hard to install a 12v motor in a 24 valve truck?

just curious how hard it would be to install an early mechanical injected 12 valve motor in a 2006 24 valve 6 speed truck? I guess once done none of the dash instruments would work, tach ,temp, oil. wouldn't the tranny and motor mounts bolt right up? is there anything that would be real tough to adapt? just thinking that when my warranty ends and my current motor gives up the ghost I would like to go to something that wil run forever and that I can actually work on myself. (not computer controlled)has anyone done this switch and how did it work out. I see no reason why it wouldn't work.

I have had the same thoughts some guys around here have been putting them in Ford Super Duty's I know if they run the Electronic trans they need a computer or Controller the RH trans would be an easy install just wire up a TPS for the lock up and overdrive.

I would like to hear what you need to keep all of the electric stuff on the truck going, Widows Air Locks ect
