HELP HELP HELP 800 miles from home.......

HELP!!!!!!!!!!! ok so im about 800 miles from home in my 06 2500 mega cab on my way to SC towing a trailer well last night around 5pm the truck went BOOM and like kicked real hard like the tranny was slipping but its not the tranny cuz the RPM stay were there at when it does it. It will do it ever mile or it will be fine for 30 miles it seems to do it when i put a load on the rear end like going up hills it may do it on flat ground to if any one has any clue on what it can be please reply i need to get back to CT by tuesday morning with the trailer and a tractor like you see on the side of the highways that cut the grass

Thanks so much
Danny

Should be East or South of New England, enless he's fashioned himseld a CTD amphibious truck/boat?

Take a pin with some string, put it in a map, sweep east to south he's somewhere in that range.

Could be rear or transfer case realted........?

Maybe a u-joint binding and releasing? If so any small dealer should be able to fix you up.

If you are pretty sure it's not the tranny, my guess is it's the rear end. it sounds like a broken spider gear. does it do it more while turning?

In any event it seems like your gonna have to fix it or get it fixed where ever u are, don't think you'll make it home with that kinda damage. sorry bud :(
