Has anyone tried springs to level their truck

I want to lift the front of the truck slightly and do not want to use the pucks that everyone seems to sell. Has anyone tried a spring lift and if so how did it turn out and what did you use. I tried several searches with no luck, very frustrating waiting for 60 secs between searches with no results. TIA

I believe the companies are:

KORE
Carli
Thuren
Lorenz
Skyjacker

Im sure there are others and hopefully these are all right.

Have a good one. [coffee]

My 04 has a CST spring lift on it. I didn't install it, prev owner did. It really has a good ride and turn lost of heads. Been told by 3 gals so far that it's a sexy truck, and i let one guy at a gas station look at it closely cause he had the exact truck and want the same look I have.

It looks like there is a small, maybe an inch to inch and a half in back and I'm guessing two to two and a half in spricg lift up front to level it.

Looking at the CST site, all I see right now is a 6.5" lift. I don't have that for sure, but the control arm on mine actually has the CST logo so I know it's from them.

you bet. . .bought the skyjacker coils +2" from stock. Cost only a few more dollars than the mickey mouse plastic puck deal. That along with the Bilstein 5100 also a bit longer and it rides much better.

search the springs in my sig - im really happy with them - gives a 2" lift
they are nice and stiff when cornering and braking, but not nearly as harsh as i thought they would be going over bumps and such - they actually are nicer than the stock springs.

I bgt 2" over springs from CSS. Reasonably priced, heavier (thicker coils), and nice people to deal with.
They can make any length you wish and correct for after market front bumpers, etc.

here are the links:

manufacturer (can also buy direct, but more expensive):
Tuff Truck Coils
(go to products - scroll down - 'click here')

These guys carry them:
Carrier Spring Services

im sure there are other places other than just carrier that carry these springs - call Tuff Truck and ask for a dealer in your area.

i tried the soft rides/ttc-1213 (apparently the exact same as skyjacker springs) - i took them out, sent them back and replaced with the HD/ttc-1216 and i am MUCH happier i did - don't be intimidated by the HD springs, they ride nice (i have stock weight on my front end too). the soft rides/ttc-1213 look exactly like a stock spring - but just stretched out (taller than stock spring); the hd/ttc-1216 are a thicker wire with a little bit more coils, they are shorter than the soft rides also (they hold their height unlike the stock springs, and soft rides), which makes the install very easy.

jason
