I've been running Rotella T6 synthetic. I'm not sure if it's worth the extra cost and I'm thinking about going back to dino next oil change. The truck does run a touch smoother on the T6. I've been using it because my truck is a daily driver to work - less than 2 miles each way, so it does a fair amount of driving on short trips below operating temp.

I'm thinking about getting a cheap commuter and saving my truck for the longer trips and towing (which is why I have a diesel in the first place of course). Tired of driving to work and back with no heat because it doesn't warm up enough...
