I am glad i ordered a 5.9 a few weeks ago. Legally its an 07 model year though. Kind of a rare combo i guess... new ugly tail lights, but with the 5.9.... they will probably only make about 3 months worth of 07 5.9's

I bet it will become one of those parts department nighmares. 15 years from now i will be asking for a fuel filter for an 07 5.9 diesel and the parts guy will tell me the 07's had 6.7L motors.

One thing i am happy about with the new truck is that i am also keeping the old '92. The 15 year old just wont die.

Now i just need to replace the wife's 4runner with a 97 5speed 12 valve, and get a 4BT in the rock crawler, and the prophicy will be comeplete.

Ill be keeping the 94 forever, and I have a spare block in the shop if it comes down to needing it. A 12 valve will never be able to be replaced. If the 6.7 is as good as the 5.9(and i feel it will be), it will no doubt be an awesome motor. I just wish they were still mechanically injected

I'll be keeping my 92 forever, but no doubt we'll add newer trucks as we go. We are getting ready to start using a new cba&chassis 6.7/Aisin under our three car trailer and it looks like it is gonna be great. We as Dodge/Cummins fans are truly blessed, we have always had good engine's. Even the most troublesome of the 5.9's are more reliable than anything any of the competition has or has had to date in my opinion. Long live the straight 6 Cummins.
