Question Going for service, but need suggestions

I know my fan clutch is staying on. I am getting that roar all the time now. I also am getting a really bad rattle when you hit the pedal, about half way until the turbo kicks in and then it goes away I am assuming that it is all related but from the searchs I have done, it almost sounds like the valves or injectors may be a problem too. Do any of you know what this may be? Also when I take it in, do any of you know what flashes it should get? Besides the recall. There are no mods other than in the sig. and I am now running straight pipe with the kitty as of today and it is SWEET, a little rude but good and there is no drone on the interstate with the cruise set on 80, until you climb hills. And no the roar was before the muff was gone. I also checked with dealer before doing anything with the truck and they said what I wanted to do wasn't a problem.(exhaust, intake, bigger tires just need to bring in for a flash to correct speedo, but did say might be a problem with leveling kit . Thanks in advance for any suggestions and help. By the way there is only 9k mile on the truck and I have tried taking off the MPC eliminator and putting the factory pipe back on, no change at all(almost a waste of $50 to hear the turbo whistle) the most the truck has ever towed was 5800# boat and was bought new in March of this year. Sorry to ramble just trying to give as much info as possible.

If you can avoid the new recall regarding the horn honking. Mine was done and the darn horn honks when I have the door open and put it in gear. If you have a habit like I do of opening the door before you shut off the engine and move the shift lever the horn will honk and if the parking brake is on when you move the shift lever it will honk. Drives me nuts

Does anyone at least know of any TSBs besides the recall and the doorseal thing? I did the search and came up with nothing. I have even done searches on the web and really didn't come up with anything related to the CTD. But I remember reading posts about higher idle and white smoke on start up and a few others, but just can't find them to give specific numbers to service advisor. This guy could not even tell me about exhaust parts, just trying to help him out and get my truck back in one piece. Thank guys and gals.

Maybe these will help.

Remember though that these don't all apply to our Cummins powered trucks. Some of these are for 1500 trucks and Hemi powered trucks.

One thing to check. Crawl underneath the truck and look at the A/C compressor. Make sure the wiring harness isn't chaffing against the housing.
