Fuel rail leak

Okay guys at 26k I have my first problem.. it’s a fuel rail leak. (Drip) I kept smelling diesel when I would get out of the truck and realized that there was fuel all over the starter, wiring, down the out side of the vent tube ect. And I can see that it is coming from a two part junction at the rear part of the fuel rail I assume it’s the return line. There is a nearly identical junction off the rail at the fount that goes to the number one injector. But in the rear it just goes to a line going out… anyway what to do? Is it an O-ring set up that has gone out ? Or a crack in the fitting .. I put a wrench on it to snug it up but I was in a spot where I didn’t have much leverage and it didn’t move… any help…. I fear my mods have voided the warranty so… HELP.. the truck still runs fine but who wants $4.50 gal hitting the ground

Check all lines for proper torque with engine not running. Most likely high pressure fuel line has a crack. Be very careful 26,000 psi pressure in lines when running if injected into skin will kill you in minutes. #6 injector line is the hardest to get to. Recomend taking to dealer for repair, covered under your warranty.

1 - Bracket
2 - Rear Of Cylinder Head
3 - Fuel Drain Manifold Line (to Fuel Tank)
4 - Banjo Bolt/check Valve
5 - Slotted Hole
6 - Bracket Bolts (2)

1 - FUEL INJECTOR
2 - HIGH-PRESSURE LINE
3 - INJECTOR MOUNTING BOLTS
4 - FUEL INJECTOR RAIL
5 - SEPARATE FITTING (TYPICAL)
6 - CONNECTOR TUBE RETAINER (FITTING)
7 - CONNECTOR TUBE

Just had the high pressure line to the #4 injector start leak, so the dealer said. I've looked it over and could not see any cracks or holes.
Read your Cimmins or Dodge warranty and you'll not find anything that says it covers the fuel lines.

Okay I took the inner fender out so I could see what I was doing and its not the return line its the fitting that adapts the rail to the number 6 injector line.. the number one (easier to see) is the same way, with a 22mm fitting that goes into the rail it self. and then the fuel line bolts to that 19mm..is there an o-ring behind that rail adapter listed as number five ~SEPARATE FITTING (TYPICAL) ~in the smaller diagram on the right that BigIron70 posted.. help..... that's where the leak is ....what to do??

What I do to find leaks is inject dye into fuel filter housing and run engine. Then using a black lite I check all fitting and stay far enough away that spray does not come near me. Any leaks will show up bright yellow. Fuel lines have been found leaking on most engine I have checked this way. Good Luck

There are no o-rings on any of the fuel lines.
they are all torqued to spec.

Pressure relief valve? That would be my first guess

That's weird, my truck cracked the number 4 HP fuel line Tuesday afternoon on the way home. It is still sitting at the dealer waiting for parts. . They have not told me that it was not covered under warranty, so I assume that it is.

In order to be compliant with OBDII, the fuel system is warrantied.

I would not be paying for fixing a fuel leak, on the engine. I don't care what the "warranty" says.
