fuel pressure gauage acting weird

Di pricol gauge acting weird sometimes at idle it is at 15 sometimes 17 mostly and other times at 20 psi but sometimes it will be at 20 drop to 15 reel quick then back to 20 what gives have checked all wiring

Typical reading for stock lift pump, sometimes you can get the dealer to replace it.

Seems like stock PSI is around 11 PSI so you airdog is definately adding some pressure. Do you have the electric of mechanical FP guage? My electric autometer does jump around a little, but not 5 PSI. More like 1 PSI. Also, if it is an electric, they make a "snubber" that helps even out these fluctuations and supposedly extend the life of the gauge....

(A stock pump is only 8 PSI BTW.)

Is the gauge mechanical with an isolator? Isolators have been know to cause lotsa grief...

Read that guys have gotten 9-10 PSI for stock fuel pressures at idle, with the average is around 8 PSI. So, do you have documentation showing the the stock pump can only be 8 PSI max? Seems alot of gauges are going to be "off" here on this website.

No, just what my gauge and lotsa other people's are telling us...

Whatever the case it's not enough if you run any kinda chip or programmer...

I quess I am used to seeing higher pressure like on my 2nd gen but as long as it isnt to low and it is an electric dipricol
