Fuel Filter Change Question

Getting close to first recommended fuel filter change and I see that in the maintenance logbook it also says "Clean the water in fuel sensor".

Changing the fuel filter seems easy enough but I don't understand what they mean about the clean water in fuel sensor or how to do this.

Can anyone comment on this.

Re:Fuel Filter Change Question

What it means is to pull out the old filter and wipe any gunk from the filter canister, making sure to clean the WIF sensor on the botton of the canister.

Re:Fuel Filter Change Question

I only have a bit over 11k miles on mine but ended up changing the fuel filter as sometimes it didn't seem as spunky as it use to. It was dark gray, and since the change not only is it back to it's torquey self, it's a bit quieter too.
