First 70 MPH Vibration Casuality??
Well today, at 35,600 miles, my 2004.5 Dodge RAM with the 70 MPH vibration ate it's first rear driveline!!
Is this what we can expect from these trucks? The mechanic that looked at it said it is his 5th 2004 RAM that had a u-joint/carrier bearing go out in the last couple of months.
He said that it is easier and more permanent to replace the whole thing due to possible out of round of the carrier now that the U-Joint seized up while driving for 50 miles.....does that make sense? He said if they replace only the U-Joint, that it will only last a couple of months before going again.
Does anybody know if the driveshaft is covered under the 7/70 Powertrain Protection Plan?
