Finally strapped one (of my many... :) Jeeps behind the truck today for a little road trip. All I can say, compared to my '01 CTD/auto, is WOW!!!! ;D ;D There was hands down no comparison in how well it pulled; up, down, through the turns, everything was just plain better. Granted the '01 was a shortbox, and that makes a lot of difference on it's own, but in terms of shear pulling power and braking performance, no comparison. Figure I had about 5500 lbs back there, and honestly could not tell it was there. Still started out in 2nd, even on some decent inclines, and she still rolled into 6th at around 50mph and pulled like a train right up to 70.

 

Glad to hear it worked out so well! I ordered mine on Saturday and now have to wait three months. I currently have a '01 1500 GMC that I tow 7000 to 7500# with and it really struggles. It is rated to pull 8000# but they must have meant downhill with a tail wind. I'm looking forward to being able to run the speed limit on the Interstate.<br><br>The Boss Hog
