filters?

I hope u can help, I have been using Wix brand filters, I was told yesterday that this is not the best filter for my Cummins, what filter do most use? Does anyone know how much my 2004 2500 2wd can tow fifthwheel style, can't find it in my manual. Thanks for the help. New diesel owner( I love it!)

Ive never heard anything bad about WIX filters. I think they work very well for their price. In my 93 I run either an AMSOil Ea filter or a Donaldson Filter.

Fleetguard

I was using fleetguard but now I'm using mopar. My local Wal-mart sells the mopar filter for $7.00. You can't beat that.

Fleetguard, Baldwin.....I've not heard anything bad about WIX.

Napa Gold (Wix) are proven filters. I do not use any other brand of oil, air, or fuel filter.

Every one has an opinion as what works best for them.
Personally, Iv tried Airraid dropin filter and wasnt pleased with it.
I put a Amsoil dropin EaA dry type filter in my 05 and very pleased with it.

if he uses anything besides

MOPAR
OR
FLEETGUARD

they can AND WILL void your warrenty...

how much is that dollar or two worth

I use FLEETGUARD 'STRATAPORE' filters 10-12 dollars $10,000 motor

ALSO K&N drop in replacement air filter --delivers LOTS of air

but don't fool around with your oil filters...do a serch on oil filter failiers ,here on DTR ...I was very suprised...FRAM IS THE WORST going

What's your source of this info?

The Magnuson Moss Act was created specifically so vehicle manufacturers could not void your warranty for using comparable aftermarket replacement parts. It doesn't cover performance mods but it would cover something like filters.
