Differential fluid change

I'm getting ready to change my differential lube. I know i can re-use the gaskets. My question is, do I need to put the Mopar silicon or permatex grey or whatever on the gaskets?
Thanks

nope

I took the covers completely off to inspect the gears/bearings and wipe off all of the sludge that was on the covers. Did this at 15,000 miles and added Amsoil gear lube. Took 4 quarts rear and 3 front. That will put the fluid just under the hole. I took another members advice and torqued all of the bolts to 30 ft. lbs.

Same here. The next time I am just going to loosen the bolts enough to allow the fluid to drain. There was no metal shavings on the bottom of the housings, just a small amount on the magnetic plugs. No need to remove the covers unless you just want to see what the rear locker looks like.
