Thumbs up DC did Warrenty work at 100,893mi!!!!

The 04.5's LP went out at 100,893mi, had it towed to a local dealer, they said it was the lift pump and that they could fix it with the retrofit kit from dodge for around $800 because the warrenty had expired. I asked him something about the "retofit" and the serv. man. explained that it replaces the stock pump with a different pump in the tank (I knew this already, just wanted to see what he would say). Then I asked WHY??

Well a long story short, the serv.man. called DC for me, told them the story, and DC said "fix it"!!!! so I only have to pay the deductable!!!! I was stoked!!!!

I know, I know, it could have damaged the cp3...but I doupt it becuase it died when I had the key ON at a fuel station. It was making some noise when I fueled up so I checked my filter mounted guage and it said 5 psi at idle, and around 7psi with the engine off. I just let it sit there and run (the pump not the engine) while I went and got some food and found a cheap tow...when I came back the pump was not running, I bumped the started and it ran for a few seconds befor the check engine lite came on, then I shut it down and waited for the tow!!!!

Anyway just thought I'd post something positive about DC, and their servise (even though the "new" pump will probably fail in the next 10,000mi ).

Just picked it the truck up this morning.....only paid $108 deductuble, and the truck made it all the way home!!!! Anyway I'm gonna go take it for some WOT romps while it is unloaded (a treat for this poor truck) then change the fuel filter and do a thorough visual inspection (yeh that's how much I trust the DEALER). Hopefully I don't have any of the problems other people have had.....

Ohhh yeh, while i'm off the subject does anyone no how to tell when the cp3 is going out???

What he did not tell you is that he had it towed 894 miles and DC had no choice... You heard the rest of the story here !!!

Great to hear that there are dealers that are actually interested in return business.

If their customer relation folks were only intelligent enough to realize that if stories like this were told more often there sales would increase .
