Cracked Overdrive Housing

The O/D housing on my '03 48re cracked and I had the unit rebuilt with all new internals, and T/c. It seems now to be leaking again, and the shop that rebuilt it is afraid it might be cracked again 2months later(still under warranty). So they are going to take it apart and replace housing again. I want to know if there are others out there who have had the same problem and found out what could have caused this in the first place, since once I can accept something just let loose, but 2 times something just isn't right. If I can't figure out what is causing this I gguess it will have to go, I can't see driving something that keeps having a major failure. My wife says just trade it in on a new one and I am starting to agree.

Any help would be appreciated.

When the rear driveshaft u-joints go bad, the vibration cracks the o/d housing. It's fairly common. How are your u-joints?

Actually those were replaced at approximately 55k miles, which was 2 years ago, I now have 74k. I guess they coulda gone bad or been installed incorrectly, when the trans guy gets done they are being checked again.
