Cooler flush??

as some might know, i blew up my TC about 3 weeks ago. well now that i have my newly cleaned tranny, and new converter, whats a good way to clean out the cooler of debris??

im really trying to avoid taking the cooler out, so any ideas to do it while in?

Most auto stors sell cooler flush kits, or at least they used too. try napa, it is a presherized can of solvant that you blow through the cooler, then you blast it with air to force it all out.

i have been trying that with brake cleaner and my air compressor, but it doesnt come out of the other end enough, just drips a little. ill have to see if i can find that cooler flush kit.

I latched onto a used in tank fuel pump that was still good and use it. Just use clean fluid in a bucket and push fluid the opposite direction of normal travel until clean

We usually blow it out in reverse direction with compressed air and then spray brake clean through the system and blow out in both directions till all the way clean. On the 48re i believe you can only blow through the way the fluid usually runs, must have a check valve in the lines.
