Coolant type
 

What type of coolant does our truck come with. I hate to make a trip
to the Dodge dealer to get a gallon of coolant.

good question, I was wondering the same... Anyone, Anyone,... Bueler, Bueler?

I read on the cummins forums where they recommend Zerex in gold jug, but the owners manual says not to mix coolants. The plus with the Zerex is that it is clear, so no mixing of green and red/pink that mine came with.

I did an extensive search everywhere from Auto Zone to Napa and could not find the type of coolant that our owners manual says to use in the color that came in it.

I went ahead and paid the outrageous price to get the factory stuff, as indicated in our manual.

I flushed and changed to using zerex g05 has hoat in it

I used the Zerex in the gold bottle also. It's HOAT rated and clear in color. It's a bit pricey though!!!! I should have light pink coolant in my truck now!! [laugh]

dont put the green it will kill the water pump, did on mine when the previous owner did it
