Coolant System Flush

Hello everyone,
When performing a "home-made" coolant flush, how do I drain the coolant reservoir? I used Super-Tech (Wal-mart brand) coolant. Is that ok? I comapred ingredients with Prestone and they are exactly the same.
Thanks,
Jamie

Not to hijack your thread or anything, but what antifreeze are most people using in these trucks?

Zerex G-05 HOAT type. You can use they Mopar or even....Ford gold coolant. They are all the HOAT type. If you like the standard green, I suppose just use it and flush and fill more often.

From what I understand and read you are ONLY supposed to use HOAT anti-freeze in your cummins motor.coobie

The crysler anti-freeze has hoat in it,which is for the cummins motor, when I bought my gallon last year crysler dealerships were the only ones who had it.My stock number on this container are 05066386aa.There might be someone else who is making it by now.coobie

HOAT is the type of coolant. Hybrid Organic Acid Technology
http://www.valvoline.com/pages/produ...asp?product=10
It is an extended drain interval coolant.

Not much help here, but since I never had good luck doing cooling system flushing, I just took the truck into the dealer for this thing.
