Clutch issues
Clutch issues
About 3 months ago my wife backed out of the driveway and when to pull away and she told me she couldn't get the truck in gear. So she didnt think to shut it off and try so she let it set. I cam later and started it and it went right in gear no problems since. I thought she was nuts to be honest. Well today I pulled in my driveway and then went to put it in first to park it which I always do while it's running (just my habit) and it won't go in gear. Unless the truck is shut off. When I push the shifter hard the truck starts to move so for some reason the clutch is not fully engaging. Ideas? Seemed to only do it when warm but the other day it did it right away in the morning. Shut the truck off for 10 minutes, went back out and it drove fine. This one has me perplexed to say the least.
No, any gear. (reverse, etc...) if I shut the truck off and start it in gear, I get get going and shift on the fly but when I stop I can feel the clutch "grabbing". Soon as I let it out, I cant get it back in any gear.
Shut it off for 10 minutes or so, and she will work fine.

Just a shot in the dark, did you check the clutch slave cylinder to be sure it is full of fluid?
I had almost the same problems and I had to replace the slave cylinder assembly. Good Luck.
