Clutch Disc- TSB 06-001-03

An FYI for everybody:

I got my truck out of the shop last night. The dealer replaced the Clutch Disc according to TSB 06-001-03. I drove it home last night and back to work this am- no Rattle while idling in neutral with foot off clutch- thank goodness!! They appeared to have done a good job! Shifts great, pulls hard! I looked at the new clutch disc before they installed it- don't look like there is much to it. Looks like the "Rattling" was coming from the springs that are made into the clutch disc? Maybe this info will help somebody out there..in case this is a problem your having?

I also had them to replace one headlight- had moisture behind the lens. Maybe I'm ready to go now... Looking at a "Western Diesel Perfomance" box to bump up the HP and Torque???

Merry Christmas!

I had mine done a about 33,000 miles. Now at 47,000 it's just as bad as it ever was. It did go away for a little while though.

Mine has rattled almost since the day it was new. Not going to do anything about it either. If the clutch ever goes (which I doubt) then I will put in a proper clutch.

Ditto to what Casey says. I don't think the benefit out weighs the risks. I have seen a lot of posts stating it was just as bad or worse after having the disc replaced.
