clutch adjustment

I have 4200km on my truck and was wondering when I should have the clucth adjusted? Is it something a handy guy can do? When the truck was new the fiction piont was just off the floorpan and now it is roughly a quarter of the way up.
Thanks jf

Re:clutch adjustment

I don't believe there is any adjustment on these clutches. They are hydraulic actuated and have no internal adjustment that I know of. Your engagement point will change somewhat on a new truck but if you do not abuse it, it should be a very slow change from here on in as the clutch wears.

Re:clutch adjustment

Smoke man is correct. There is no adjustment in the hydraulic linkage setup. The easy pedal and no binding provided with this setup is offset by the inability to get any adjustment. I would give up the easier pedal for the adjustability of a mechanical linkage. I won't wheel this new truck hard enough to bind a clutch linkage.

Re:clutch adjustment

Stock my clutch engaged at the end of the travel. When I put the clutch in that changed to about the center of travel. You wouldnt believe how much that threw me off for a week or two before I got used to it.
