clutch id check

I just purchased an 06 with a manual. The guy who owned it before did a few upgrades. I know very little about the G56, is there a way to tell if the clutch is aftermarket or stock without dropping the trans? If so how do I check and what am I looking for?

Should have aftermarket hydraulics if it has a aftermarket clutch. As far as I know with the G56 you cannot run a non stock clutch with the stock hydros.

Like I said I know little to nothing about the G56. How do I tell the difference between the stock and aftermarket hydraulics?

The aftermarket ones have a remote reservoir. Normally with a black cap, my factory one had a yellow cap.

So I have a yellow cap stamped AP. So I am now betting it is stock. Thank you for your help.

If it's nice and quiet,it's a stock clutch. If it growls in reverse of idling through a parking lot it's an aftermarket clutch.
A few guys run stock hydraulics with aftermarket clutches.
