check Engine Light no codes

The little orange motor is lit on my dash...The truck runs fine. I took it to a local parts house and they plugged it in and no codes come up. I have an edge Juice with attitude on it..its an 05 170000 miles. I had it since new. The edge has been on since almost new.

It is possible for the edge to prevent codes from being read with a "generic" scan tool. Remove the tuner and try to scan it again, you might get a code that way.

The Edge Juice is an interceptor module, not a programmer, so it won't interfere with the OBDII port.

If your CEL is on, there is DTC's stored but likely you need a more advanced OBDII scan tool to read the codes.

Try the key off/on 3 times procedure to see if the stored DTC's come up on the dash gauge cluster.

If not, it might be easiest to take it to the local Chrysler dealer.

Thanks for clarifying, the difference for me, as I don't know much about programmers and modules and the like, as I can't put them on my 12 valve..

I only put that out there because I had a truck in the shop with some sort of edge product that wouldn't let any scan tool read it, until we went into the edge module and set it stock settings.

I believe that is the turbo waste gate solenoid. Sometimes it's the wires and connector, or the solenoid itself is bad. Should be able to change the solenoid.

Edit------- I dug up this old post for you. Hope it helps.
